Getting Started
Policies and Other Questions

Start by scheduling a free 15-minute consultation. We’ll briefly discuss what brings you to therapy, what you’re looking for, and whether working together feels like a good fit.

The consultation is a brief, informal but confidential conversation where you can share what you’re looking for, ask questions, and learn more about working together. If it feels like a good fit, we can schedule your first session.

Your first session focuses on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and learning more about your history, relationships, and goals. We’ll begin identifying what you’d like to work toward together.

A good therapeutic fit means feeling comfortable, understood, and able to be yourself while also feeling supported in making meaningful change. It can take a few sessions to get a sense of this, and I welcome open conversations about how therapy is feeling for you.

Yes. Say More Therapy currently provides therapy virtually through secure telehealth sessions. Telehealth offers the flexibility to attend therapy from a private, comfortable location and is available to clients located anywhere in California at the time of their session.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be subject to the full session fee, except in certain circumstances.

Yes. What you share in therapy is confidential, with certain exceptions required or permitted by law, such as concerns about safety, abuse or neglect, or a valid court order. We’ll review confidentiality and its limits before beginning therapy.

Privacy is important for helping children and teens feel comfortable being open in therapy. Parents and caregivers may receive general updates about progress and treatment, while the details of sessions are typically kept private unless there is a safety concern or disclosure is otherwise required by law.

Parent involvement can be an important part of therapy for children and teens and will vary based on the child’s age, needs, and treatment goals. Parents may join portions of sessions or participate in separate parent or family sessions when helpful. Individual sessions generally take place privately to give children and teens space to build trust and speak openly.

Say More Therapy does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you are experiencing an immediate mental health or medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. You can also call or text 988 for crisis support.

Therapy at Say More

Fees and Insurance

I work with pre-teens, teens, adults, couples, and families. Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, family dynamics, self-esteem, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, therapy is tailored to your unique needs and goals.

I work with clients navigating stress, trauma, relationship and family challenges, co-dependency, school-related concerns, and difficult patterns that can leave you feeling stuck or disconnected. I also support clients who may not have a specific “problem” in mind but want to better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and create meaningful change.

Most therapy sessions are  50–55 minutes. Your initial intake session is longer, approximately 90 minutes, to allow time to gather a thorough history, better understand your current concerns, and begin identifying your needs and goals for therapy.

Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build consistency and momentum, but the frequency of therapy depends on your individual needs, goals, and circumstances. Some clients meet every other week or monthly, and we may adjust the frequency over time. As you make progress and prepare to end therapy, sessions may become less frequent to support a gradual transition.

My standard session fee for Individual and child/teen therapy sessions are $175. Initial intake sessions are $225 and couples and family therapy sessions are $200. Payment is due at the time of service.

Say More Therapy is currently in the process of becoming in-network with select insurance plans. Until those contracts are finalized, services are private pay. I can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement.

If I am not in-network with your insurance, you may still have out-of-network benefits that help cover the cost of therapy. I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

A Good Faith Estimate outlines the expected cost of therapy for clients who are not using insurance. Because therapy is individualized, the number of sessions and total cost may vary.

Yes. Say More Therapy accepts HSA and FSA cards for eligible therapy services. Because individual plans may have different requirements, clients are encouraged to confirm eligibility with their HSA or FSA administrator.
